Red is linear, there's no click sound really, just the switch sound, there's no tactile feedback like brown, you just press it slightly and the magic happens. I had red, gone back to brown for a little because my keyboard is faulty, so from my g915 I am back to my k95 vengeance (not platinum, the old ones). I compare the Vulcan 120 AIMO keyboard with Roccat's new TITAN switches and compare with Cherry MX Browns.Top Left Keyboard = CoolerMaster MK750 / Cherry MX If it's your first mechanical keyboard, I would recommend that you get brown switches. Brown switches are considered the best for gaming/typing, since they are not too tactile but they aren't linear either. Personally, I like the brown and blue switches better than the reds, but both brown and red are good. 1. Now, the Romer-G switches don't try to copy those Cherry MX. But there were two big disadvantages of the Cherry MX switches after all those years.First was the material of key caps itself. The ABS key caps used to break a lot, which can be very annoying after some time. The PBT key caps are much better in terms of stability and material, but Hey! Today we will be comparing 3 different keyboards with 3 different switches! Sound test at the end of the video! Make sure to comment what you recommend On the other hand, because the Red switch takes slightly more to activate the command, many prefer it for typing. STAT: Cherry MX Red switches last for an average of 100 million keystrokes. ( source ) Waking him up is nearly the worst thing that can happen I actually swapped the space bar Night Breeze for a Baby Kangaroo and that nicely dampened that sound as well. I thought the Night Breeze (at least in the space bar) was a lot louder than the Browns. 2. jbbat99. Sound: 4/10 . Sound is much more horrendous than its linear counterpart as this is the tactile version. I don’t find it very pleasing to my ears to say the least. I think if the switch wasn’t scratchy, it wouldn’t be as bad. Lubing would probably help in this case, but who knows by how much.
